Return Window
We have a 30-day return policy, which means you have 30 calendar days after receiving your order to request a return.
This policy applies globally to all markets, in addition to your statutory 14-day withdrawal right in the European Union.
Eligibility
To be eligible for a return, items must be unused, unworn, with tags attached, and in their original packaging. Please include the order number and proof of purchase.
How to Start a Return (RMA Process)
Because Smiling Maria works with multiple fulfillment partners and suppliers, return addresses vary depending on the origin of the shipment.
To start a return, please contact us first at info@smilingmaria.com with your order number and reason for return.
We will provide detailed return instructions and the correct return address for your specific item.
⚠️ Returns sent without prior authorization will not be accepted.
Return Shipping Costs
For change-of-mind returns (e.g., wrong size, not as expected), return shipping is paid by the customer.
For defective, damaged, or incorrect items, we cover the return shipping or provide a prepaid return label.
Damages and Issues
Please inspect your order upon delivery and contact us immediately if any item is defective, damaged, or incorrect, so we can evaluate the issue and make it right as quickly as possible.
Exceptions / Non-Returnable Items
Certain items cannot be returned for hygiene or safety reasons, including:
Personalized or custom-made items
Sealed personal-care or hygiene products (e.g., lingerie, swimwear, earrings, cosmetics) once opened/unsealed
Hazardous materials, flammable liquids, or gasesIf you are unsure about your product’s eligibility, please contact us before ordering.
Sale Items and Gift Cards
Discounted or promotional items are still eligible for return within 30 days, as long as they meet the same condition standards and are not excluded for hygiene or customization reasons.
Gift cards are non-returnable and non-refundable.
Exchanges
The fastest way to exchange an item is to return the original item first. Once the return is accepted, you can place a new order for the replacement item.
EU Right of Withdrawal
If your order is delivered within the European Union, you have the right to cancel or return your purchase within 14 days of receiving it, without providing a reason.

You are responsible for the return shipping cost unless the product is defective or incorrect.
Refunds and Timeline
Once your return is received and inspected, we will notify you by email.
If approved, your refund will be processed to your original payment method within 5–10 business days.
Please note that your bank or payment provider may require additional time to complete the transaction.

Restocking Fees
We do not charge restocking fees under any circumstances.
